FAQ'S RE PLACING AN ORDER VIA OUR WEBSITE
|
|
Ordering, Payment & Delivery Information
Throughout our website we have provided a link, as above, and on this page it gives full information as to how all orders are managed from receipt through to when we post out. We always recommend that this page is viewed and read prior to placing an order.
|
What methods of Payment do you accept on your website to pay for an order? PayPal or Google Checkout and both of these are proven secure methods plus it is fast and reliable. We do not see sight of your card details, nor would we want to. |
I'd like to phone you up and pay for my order with my card, can I do this? We do not have a card processing machine here and do not have any plans to install one as the operation fees are too expensive. |
Can I pay for my order by cheque through the post? Sorry, no. We live in the countyside and are miles away from the nearest town. It just wouldn't be practical or financially viable to make a special journey to deposit one cheque. Also, cheques are soon to be abolished. |
I don't like using my debit/credit card over the Internet and you don't accept cheques can I send cash through the post? We don't recommend this and would only accept this method as a last resort when we can't convince you to use PayPal or Google Checkout. Any cash sent through the post is at the Customer's own risk and we would not accept any responsibility if it was to go missing. We would always recommend that cash was sent by Special Delivery Next Day which would cost you approx. £5. |
I placed an order through your website but I have not received an order acknowledgment from you? If you have not received our automated order acknowledgment, followed by our processing email, chances are that your junk mail filters are blocking our communications. You will need to set your filters to allow mail from our website address. If you have placed an order through our website using a Company or Government type email address the chances are that any emails that we send to you will be blocked. It is always better to use a personal email address. |
I've changed my mind regarding the plants that I have ordered from you can I amend my order? Yes, no problem. Please send us an email with your changes and always quote the Order ID number that you received in the Processing email that we sent you. |
Due to circumstances I really do need to cancel my order, is this possible? Of course, no problem at all. Please email us with your Order ID number requesting a full refund and we'll send the order amount back to you via PayPal or Google Checkout, which ever one that you paid with. Please note that PayPal or Google Checkout will charge you a small processing fee out of the total amount and there's nothing that we can do about this. They charged us a similar amount when we received your order...that's business! |

Why have you cancelled my order? The only time that we take the drastic step to cancel a Customer's order is when we have received an unreasonable, demanding or unpleasant email communication. From experience this rare occurrence is likely to happen during the months of April, May and June when a Customer is in a hurry to receive their plants. When we process orders we send each and every one of our Customers an email with the anticipated delivery week and if this was to change we would send a further email. We believe that communication between ourselves and our Customers is vital and we do everything we possibly can to provide regular updates. Rudeness and attempting to jump up our delivery schedule is never tolerated and we really do not have the time to get in to pointless and lengthy email discussion. We have set out our Policies in our Ordering, Payment & Delivery Information and we recommend throughout our website that this is read prior to placing an Order. When a Customer attempts to put email pressure on us to receive their plants faster than our patient Customers our simple and less stressful for us solution is to cancel the Order. We really do grow our lovely plants for pleasure and just cannot do with uncalled for stress!

I'm having a problem placing an Order through your website and paying for it, can you help me? Sure we can. Email us a list of the plants that you would like + the size and we'll work out the cost and send you a PayPal invoice. You will need to pay by our accepted payment methods though, as stated above. From the feedback we receive the majority of our Customers do manage to get to grips with making payment using either PayPal or Google Checkout. |
I really do need to receive my plants extra fast, as in next week, is this possible? Yes and no!! It depends which month of the year it is. However, we really do our utmost to dispatch orders as quickly as possible but April, May and June are usually manic!! The EarlyBirds who place their orders in December, January, February and March are given the option to state when they would like their plants delivered. All have been scheduled to match the request of the Customer and will be delivered on the required week. During April, May and June we are inundated with orders and WE make the decision, in fairness to absolutely everyone, when we are likely to post out each order. We email you an anticipated delivery date within a day or so of receiving your order. Our 'Let's be Fair' Policy!! This is explained in detail in our Ordering, Payment & Delivery Information. We do not deviate from this and there really isn't any point in trying to put email pressure on us. We really don't enjoy stress or rudeness and when this happens we have a very simple solution - we cancel the order. We are but mere mortals and really are working flat out but even we have to sleep occasionally during April, May & June. |
I have a problem with my order, what should I do? Thankfully it is very rare that we receive an email of this type as we do take exceptional care with the way that we pack our plants. However, it has been known to happen and we do have a procedure in place to rectify problems and this is explained in detail in our Ordering, Payment & Delivery information. |
You emailed me to let me know that my plants were being delivered this week but they haven't arrived yet? This is also a very rare situation and in over 4 years of posting out plants throughout the UK, Ireland and the EU we have only ever had 4 parcels go missing. Occasionally a parcel might have a short delay due to the Royal Mail system and ends up arriving 7 days after we post out, however, we use especially designed plant blisterpack packaging which ensure that plants are still fine for up to approx. 10 days. It is advisable to email us promptly if you feel that your order has been delayed as we'll do our utmost to see if we can locate it. |
I live in the US and would like to order some plants from you? UK and EU Regulations regarding the transportation of live plants does not allow us to supply any country that is not within these areas. Sorry the Rest of the World as we realise that there are lots and lots of Scented Leaf pelargonium enthusiasts in so many countries. |
I live in Estonia, how much would the shipping cost be? It varies and is automatically worked out in relation to the Order total. We would suggest that you try adding a slection of plants to your shopping cart, click on the Estonia option + the size of plant that you are ordering and this will give you an idea of the shipping costs. This applies to any country in the EU and also Ireland. P & P to all areas of the UK is totally FREE and you won't receive a shock during Checkout with us. We know and appreciate these types of shocks when we order plants from other websites - it is a disgrace. |

FAQ'S IN CONNECTION WITH SCENTED GERANIUMS
|
How big is a Scented Geranium? This is a question that we are often asked and we cannot provide a difinitive answer as the Scented Leaf group is quite different to many other types of plants. Each type is an individual in its own right and there isn't a uniform size. Some types are small growing and compact whilst others may be as large as 2 metres in height. We have provided extensive information on each type in our Catalogue and we would recommend that you also view our Videos and this should help you to make your selection from our amazing Collection of over 100 different types....and still rising. |
How big is a Starter size in comparison to a Jumbo Starter? Again, the answer is similar to above. It will depend on which type you select as to how big it will be. As a guide, the Jumbo Starter is grown on from the Starter size when we receive your Order and will be 'garden ready' when you receive it. |
