Yes, autumn has truly arrived here in the
UK and the Scented Geraniums should be heading indoors now.

I constantly repeat that Scenteds are frost tender but you would be surprised just how many folk leave their precious plants outdoors over winter.OK for us as it increases our sales when they lose them and many did last year.I received quite a lot of emails from distressed people who had lost plants that they had nurtured for many years…….DEAD PLANTS DUE ENTIRELY TO THE FROST.Even if you live by the coast I would recommend that you lift your plants and don’t take the risk.

Yes, it does take a lot of effort to lift our Smellie Pellies, tidy them, trim them back and pot into fresh gritty compost but it is 100% worth it.Plus there’s still time now to take lots and lots of new cuttings in readiness for Spring.

It might be a little chilly out there but the sun has still been shining and hopefully October will continue in this vein.Pull on a warm coat and your wellies and get out there and do what needs to be done……
