Location and Jessie’s Cabin Information
  • The single storey accommodation was originally built in 1929 to accommodate Jessie who was a cousin of the current Owners Father.  Previously a farm with many acres of land and various outbuildings quite a few of the fields are now rented out to local farmers to graze their livestock.  Over the past 80 years the family have regularly used the building for parties and for visiting friends.
  • Location is off the Legavallon Road ½ mile up a private lane, approximately 1 ½ miles from Dungiven, 10 miles from Limavady and Garvagh and 18 miles to Coleraine and The Giant’s Causeway, 30 miles to The City of Derry.  Belfast is 1 hours drive.  The roads here are rarely busy unless you are in the big cities and travelling is a pleasure as the scenery is stunning.
  • 2008 – Jessie’s Cabin has been extensively refurbished to bring it up to date.  Facilities are as follows:
    • New lounge conservatory with almost 360 degree views of the surrounding countryside.  Sitting and dining area.  Television.
    • Kitchen with full cooking facilities, crockery, cutlery, fridge and dishwasher.
    • Utility Room with washing machine and tumble dryer and hanging space for clothes.
    • Ensuite Bedroom 1 – a double room with views towards Benbradagh Mountain
    • Ensuite Bedroom 2 – a twin room with views towards Benbradagh Mountain
    • Hallway connecting the rooms.
    • Patio to the rear – with a ramped access.  Jessie’s Cabin would be suitable for individuals with some mobility, able to walk a few steps, as the bedrooms would not be big enough for dependent wheelchair users.
    • Large enclosed garden area.
    • Private and secure car parking.
    • Bedding, towels, electricity and bottle gas for cooking is included in the rates quoted.
As Jessie’s Cabin is being advertised for the first time, August 2008, we do not have any brochures to post out but would be more than happy for you to telephone or email us for further information, date availability and how to complete your booking.
