Topic of Valid Email Address and Spam Filters when Ordering
Email address: ideally use a personal one as when we reply to a company email address this will often be blocked Spam filters on your computer: this may also be another reason why you do not receive email updates from us on the progress of your Order
Recently we have encountered a few instances where our regular email Order updates are not being received. This means that you will not be aware of the scheduled week of when to expect delivery. It also means that we have absolutely no way of replying to any email enquiry that you send us, as each attempt will be blocked again.
If you do not receive a scheduled delivery week from us within a couple of days of placing your Order please contact us using an alternative email address.
There is absolutely no purpose in getting angry with us as we really do offer exceptional Customer Service but if we cannot contact you through the email address that you provide how are we able to communicate?

** we'll be as generous as possible with the size of the cuttings we take
** cuttings will be taken from our Parent Plants on the morning of dispatch
** it would be impossible for us to guarantee that every cutting will take but from our experience the strike rate is very high if potted immediately when received.
** we have not included every type that we grow in the drop down menu choice, as some types are too delicate to post out and others are trickier to root.
** Delivery is by 1st Class Royal Mail and receipt should be within 24 - 48 hours.
** We are not offering any guarantee with unrooted cuttings but an experienced gardener should get excellent results.
** Novice Gardeners: we cannot stress enough that you should not buy unrooted cuttings, as it will be a false economy for you.
** Feedback would be greatly appreciated during 2012, as this is the only way that we are able to monitor results

We came up with this idea as we received some unexpected unrooted cuttings in 2011 from an EU country and even though they had been in the post for over 5 days all of the cuttings successfully took. We know from the Feedback that we receive that many experienced Gardeners have been buying our Starter Size SG's from us each year and Unrooted Cuttings are now replacing the individual types of Starter Size we have previously offered. We shall still be offering the very popular 12 Selection of Starters priced at £24. They are excellent value as we shall send a Qty. of 5 per invidual type ordered and they work out at 60p each incl. P & P to all areas of the UK. All Cuttings will be taken from the Parent plants on the morning of Dispatch and should be delivered within 24 - 48 hours. Please note we do not guarantee that all of the unrooted cuttings will take and will not replace any failures. By offering a Qty. of 5 of each type ordered we are making an allowance for the possibility of a non-taker.
NOTE TO THE NOVICE GARDENER We really do not recommend Unrooted Cuttings for anyone is is new to gardening and who is not familiar with looking after plants or propagation. We would suggest that you start off with our Jumbo Starters and as these grow practice taking some cuttings to gain experience. If you are tempted please remember that we are not guaranteeing that the unrooted cuttings will take and we shall not be offering a refund or replacement.
Annie & Guy's Comments: We really had great success with the unrooted cuttings that we received from the EU and they have really flourished and have made extra large plants. For the 2012 Season there are a few types that we shall not be offering as unrooted cuttings as the strike rate is not so good, i.e. Lara Ballerina being one that comes to mind, she can be a little on the temperamental side. Also there are some very delicate types that would easily break during posting, so we shall not be including these.
We do hope that our Experienced Gardeners like the Unrooted Cuttings, as they are great value for money. Feedback during 2012 would be much appreciated.
