Topic of Valid Email Address and Spam Filters when Ordering
Email address: ideally use a personal one as when we reply to a company email address this will often be blocked Spam filters on your computer: this may also be another reason why you do not receive email updates from us on the progress of your Order
Recently we have encountered a few instances where our regular email Order updates are not being received. This means that you will not be aware of the scheduled week of when to expect delivery. It also means that we have absolutely no way of replying to any email enquiry that you send us, as each attempt will be blocked again.
If you do not receive a scheduled delivery week from us within a couple of days of placing your Order please contact us using an alternative email address.
There is absolutely no purpose in getting angry with us as we really do offer exceptional Customer Service but if we cannot contact you through the email address that you provide how are we able to communicate?
Highly scented peppermint foliage and a vigorous growing habit. Good ground cover plant.
P. tomentosum (referred to as tomentosum peppermint)
Scent/aroma: strong peppermint
Leaf: grey/green to mid green, soft and feel like velvet to the touch, medium to large. New leaves tend to be crinkly and extra grey but unfurl with age and turn a darker green and become a flatter shape. Underside remains grey resulting in a complimentary 2- tone colour way to the leaves.
Flower:creamy white/mauve with purple feathering to upper petals.
Growing Habit: upright with a semi-branching and sprawling habit, makes a very large plant, Ht. 18" to 24" x 36" spread. We have 2 very large pots that are in excess of 4ft across!
Other Info: Species. Tomentosum is Latin for densely woolly with matted hairs and the covering of ‘wool’ helps to keep the plant cool and shaded.Being as Tomentosum Peppermint is native to South Africa, having hot seasons, this is a handy survival mechanism.
Annie and Guy's Comments: Forget buying herbal teas, make your own - infuse the leaves from P.T. Peppermint as you would ordinary tea. Drink a cup of peppermint tea before bedtime for a good night's sleep or at any time of the day to relax or to destress. This versatile and very large plant when mature has a multitude of uses. Great value.
Top Tip - We would recommend growing Tomentosum Peppermint in between other scenteds as the strong peppermint perfume tends to help with minimising Greenfly and Whitefly.
